Transaction Analyst

Pingora Asset Management LLC, (“Pingora”), is a specialized asset manager focused on investing in and servicing of new production performing mortgage servicing right (“MSR”) portfolios.

Pingora currently employs 34 professionals and is seeking to hire a Transaction Analyst who will have general support responsibilities for managing the purchase and transfer of residential mortgage servicing rights and other business activities related to the MSR initiative. The company is currently focused on deploying private capital across agency mortgage servicing rights or similar asset classes and is actively managing a portfolio of residential mortgage servicing in excess of $100 billion in UPB. The position will be working closely with sales, risk, and executive management while being a key player on the portfolio management team.

The Transaction Analyst primary responsibilities will include;
• Function as the single point of contact for a subset of co-issue counterparties for related transfers, custodial items, and other ongoing requirements
• Coordinate review and summarize third-party due diligence of mortgage loan pools
• Coordinate review and negotiation of the transaction documents
• Ensure complete deliveries each month by confirming receipt of electronic data, loan images and physical loan documents and other transaction settlement requirements
• Review repurchase demands from the Agencies and work with counterparties to resolve repurchase demands

Other duties may include;
• Assist SVP of Transactions with operational set up for new counterparty onboarding
• Work with developers to create new technology to streamline/automate processes
• Involvement with the system and procedural enhancement processes
• Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience Qualifications –
• Bachelor Degree in Finance or similar field of study (or equivalent work experience)
• 2+ years mortgage banking or financial services experience
• Knowledge of Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and GNMA investor servicing transfer

Key Organizational and Technical Competencies:
• Detail-oriented & Self-motivated
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to meet demands and strict deadline
• Superior Microsoft Office skills
• Strong communication skills and ability to negotiate effectively to close transactions and maintain long-term relationships
• Previous SQL experience a plus
• Residential mortgage transaction management experience a plus

Mortgage Whole Loan Analyst

Pingora currently employs 34 professionals and is seeking to hire a Mortgage Whole Loan Analyst who will have general support responsibilities for all business activities related to the whole loan initiative. The company is currently focused on deploying private capital across agency mortgage servicing rights or similar asset classes and is actively managing a portfolio of residential mortgage servicing in excess of $100 billion in UPB. The position will be working closely with sales, risk and executive management while being a key player on the portfolio management team.

The Mortgage Whole Loan Analyst primary responsibilities will include;
• Responsible for the settlement of trades and ongoing maintenance of loans and monthly financing deals
• Managing any trailing documents and contingent liabilities related to loan financings
• Work with accounting to ensure activity is collected, processed, and recorded in our residential whole loan inventory and sub-ledger systems
• Work with internal and external customers to resolve discrepancies
• Interact with broker/dealers to settle outstanding cash after bond delivery
• The position will have a high level of interaction with sellers, buyers, servicers, custodians, due diligence providers, and legal counsel

Other duties may include;
• Creation of ad hoc reports in SQL for various end users
• Involvement with the system and procedural enhancement processes
• Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience Qualifications –

• Bachelor Degree (or equivalent work experience)
• 0-2 years of experience
• Detail-oriented & Self-motivated
• Excellent organizational skills in order to meet demands and strict deadline
• Superior Microsoft Office skills
• Highly motivated with strong negotiation and excellent written and communication skills
• Ability to deal with advanced problems involving multiple facets and variables in standardized or specialty situations
• Mortgage Capital Markets / Secondary Markets experience a plus
• Previous SQL experience a plus
